Baseball Game Preview: San Gabriel Matadors vs. Glenn Eagles

The San Gabriel Matadors will head out to challenge the Glenn Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Gabriel has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 9.

On Monday, San Gabriel came up short against Whitney and fell 7-4. That's two games in a row now that the Matadors have lost by exactly three runs.

Glenn came out on top against Pioneer on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fourth inning. The Eagles walked away with a 9-6 win over the Titans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Glenn got a massive performance out of James Alvarez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave Alvarez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hector Aragon, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Glenn's victory bumped their record up to 9-14. As for San Gabriel, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-19.
