Volleyball Recap: Lehi Beats American Fork for Their Tenth Straight Victory

Lehi faced American Fork in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Pioneers put the hurt on the Cavemen with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Pioneers, who have now won ten matchups in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-16, 25-22.

Lehi was led to victory by Ty Reynolds and Santiago Hernandez. Reynolds had seven digs, two aces, and one block, while Hernandez had 11 digs. Reynolds has been hot for a while, having also posted 13 or more assists the last 34 times he's played.

Despite the loss, American Fork still got an impressive performance from Evan Olmstead, who had ten digs and one assist.

Lehi's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. As for American Fork, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
