Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Meigs couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 60-53 to the New Lexington Panthers on Thursday. The Marauders' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

New Lexington's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Stephens, who shot 43% from the field en route to 19 points and five boards. Stephens' big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Eli Stephens was another key player, going 6-for-14 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds.

Meigs' defeat dropped their record down to 22-2. As for New Lexington, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-10.

Meigs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. We've got a battle between Panthers coming up. New Lexington will need to watch out since Maysville has now posted at least 55 points in their last 13 matches.
