Bell Creek Academy had won two straight road games and Wesley Fannin did his part to make it three on Friday. The Panthers walked away with a 24-14 victory over the Academy at the Lakes Wildcats with plenty of help from Fannin, who threw for 306 yards and two TDs while picking up 11.8 yards per attempt. His passing game has become a key predictor of Bell Creek Academy's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise.

Bell Creek Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Josiah Davis, Alijah Tilman, and Kyle Valdes picked up one apiece. Bell Creek Academy got some further help from Cody Schlise: he made 15 total tackles and defended four passes.

The win got Bell Creek Academy back to even at 4-4. As for Academy at the Lakes, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.
