Baseball Recap: Warren Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

It's playoff time, and Warren had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Athens Bulldogs a 5-0 shutout on Friday. Five seems to be a good number for the Warriors as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The win was the third in a row for Warren, bringing their record up to 16-14. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Athens, they moved to 17-12 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Warren nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
