Baseball Recap: Pleasant Hope Comes Up Short

Pleasant Hope made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Spokane, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Pirates fell just short of the Owls by a score of 12-10 on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 15-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2016.

Pleasant Hope's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Spokane, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-15.

Pleasant Hope wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 18-15 victory against Dadeville on the 9th. As for Spokane, they have also already played their next game, a 7-6 loss against Sparta on the 8th.
