Basketball Game Preview: Reed City Coyotes vs. Clare Pioneers

The Reed City Coyotes will square off against the Clare Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Reed City is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Reed City lost to Grant at home by a 68-51 margin. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 646th, while the Tigers are ranked 199th).

Meanwhile, Clare ended up a good deal behind Gladwin on Tuesday and lost 67-48. The Pioneers haven't had much luck with the Flying G's recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Clare now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Reed City, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.

Reed City skirted past Clare 45-42 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Will Reed City repeat their success, or does Clare have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
