Baseball Recap: University Takes a Loss

University came into this matchup off a tough six-run defeat last Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Morgantown Mohigans by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Mohigans recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

University saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Cash, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

University's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Morgantown, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University will square off against John Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Morgantown, they will face off against Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Mohigans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
