Basketball Game Preview: Lewisville Lions vs. Lee Central Stallions

The Lewisville Lions will face off against the Lee Central Stallions at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, everything went Lewisville's way against Lamar as Lewisville made off with a 58-35 victory. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lee Central). They breezed by Riverwalk Academy to the tune of 77-29 on Tuesday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-17.

Lee Central's win came from a few key players Lewisville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaquarius Davis, who posted 13 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Another player making a difference was Chuck Harry, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.

Lee Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Riverwalk Academy only posted three assists.

Lewisville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.1 points per game. As for Lee Central, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-10.

Lewisville came out on top in a nail-biter against Lee Central in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, sneaking past 29-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lewisville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
