Bastrop is 8-2 against Crockett since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Bastrop Bears will take on the Crockett Cougars at 8:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Crockett better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Bastrop really get things going. Bastrop really took it to Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-30 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Bears sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Meanwhile, Crockett made easy work of Richards School for Young Women Leaders on Friday and carried off a 50-24 win.

Crockett's win came from a few key players Bastrop will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Lauren Smith, who posted 21 points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sadie Peyton, who earned 11 points along with eight boards and eight steals.

Crockett smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 13 consecutive contests.

Bastrop pushed their record up to 30-3 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points per game. As for Crockett, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-13.

Bastrop took their victory against Crockett when the teams last played on January 3rd by a conclusive 65-43. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Smith, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Bastrop still be able to contain Smith? There's only one way to find out.
