Basketball Recap: Eno River Academy Bobcats vs. Woods Charter Wolves
After flying high against River Mill last Monday, Eno River Academy came back down to earth. The Eno River Academy Bobcats took a 33-19 bruising from the Woods Charter Wolves on Monday. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played two weeks ago.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Woods Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Wesley Oliver, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Those five assists gave Oliver a new career-high. Kori Myers was another key player, earning eight points along with three steals.
Eno River Academy's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Woods Charter, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Eno River Academy will challenge Clover Garden School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Woods Charter, they will face off against Chatham Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
