Basketball Recap: Stone Comes Up Short

Stone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Wayne County War EaglesLady War Eagles and fell 52-9. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the War EaglesLady War Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-18 on January 8th.

Taylor Perry was Stone's leading scorer, having posted four points.

Stone's defeat dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Wayne County, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Stone will take on rival East Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Wayne County is set to challenge their familiar foe Northeast Jones at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
