Basketball Recap: Grants Pass Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Grants Pass hadn't done well against South Medford recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Grants Pass Cavemen walked away with a 62-54 victory over the South Medford Panthers. This was a revenge game for the Cavemen: when they faced off against the Panthers back in January, they had to take a 61-47 defeat.

Grants Pass' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-12. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for South Medford, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 8-12.

Coming up, Grants Pass will challenge Sheldon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sheldon will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Grants Pass surely won't give up without a fight. As for South Medford, they will head out to take on Willamette at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. South Medford is facing Willamette at the right time seeing as Willamette is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
