Baseball Recap: San Jacinto Takes a Loss

San Jacinto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Schurr Spartans, falling 11-5.

Marco Morales was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Johnny Bonilla, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

San Jacinto's loss dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Schurr, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-15.

San Jacinto wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 5-0 defeat against Elsinore on the 7th. As for Schurr, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cornerstone Christian at 3:15 p.m. on the 15th. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
