Lake Minneola put their dominant defense on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Thursday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 49-0 victory over the South Lake Eagles. Fans of the Hawks have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

It was another big night for Kumari Wright, who rushed for 85 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 165 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of her passes. A healthy portion of that aerial production (86 yards to be exact) went to Austyn Krepcho, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Another reason for the win was Lake Minneola's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Serenity Stevenson and Aaliyah Coleman, who racked up all five sacks between them. With that strong performance, Stevenson is now averaging an impressive 1.2 sacks per game.

Lake Minneola's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.
