Softball Game Preview: MacArthur Brahmas vs. Burbank Bulldogs

For the second straight game, MacArthur will face off against Burbank. The Brahmas will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. MacArthur is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

MacArthur heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Thursday. They lost 14-2 to Burbank. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Brahmas have suffered since February 28th.

For Burbank's part, Jalyn Ortiz was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Kyrsten Garza, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

The win (which was Burbank's eighth in a row) raised their record to 19-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.9 runs over those games. As for MacArthur, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-12-1.
