Basketball Game Preview: Penns Valley Area Rams vs. Huntingdon Bearcats

The Penns Valley Area Rams will face off against the Huntingdon Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Monday, Penns Valley Area beat Juniata 68-56. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Huntingdon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on Bellwood-Antis with a sharp 53-29 win on Wednesday. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.

Penns Valley Area's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-8. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Huntingdon, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-10.

Penns Valley Area was able to grind out a solid victory over Huntingdon when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 71-59. Will Penns Valley Area repeat their success, or does Huntingdon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
