Newton-Conover won the last time they faced Bandys and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Red Devils came out on top in a nail-biter against the Trojans, sneaking past 1-0. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Not much got past Kobe Windsor, who gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Bandys off the board. Windsor has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Newton-Conover saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidan McElhone, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. McElhone has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Newton-Conover now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Bandys, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Bandys will square off against West Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Newton-Conover will be paying especially close attention to the Trojans' contest: after the Trojans face off against the Rebels, they'll take on Newton-Conover again at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
