The Holy Redeemer Royals will square off against the Holy Cross Crusaders at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Holy Redeemer is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5  runs per game  this season.
While Holy Redeemer's  win against Hanover Area wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Royals skirted past the Hawkeyes  8-6. The  victory was familiar territory for the Royals, who have now won three  contests in a row.
 Zachary Schultz made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  pitched 2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. What's more,  he posted three  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in April. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI.
 In other batting news, Holy Redeemer got a big performance out of  Noah Hummel, who  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  Hummel has posted since back in March.  Kayden Stevenson was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Holy Cross came up short against Honesdale on Wednesday and fell  6-3. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Holy Redeemer's win was  their eighth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 14-2. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Holy Cross, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.
 Holy Redeemer was able to grind out a solid  win over Holy Cross in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024, winning  11-7. Will the Royals repeat their success,  or do  the Crusaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
