Baseball Recap: Fike Takes a Loss

Fike fell victim to East Wake and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Fike's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for East Wake, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fike will welcome Southern Wayne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fike is facing Southern Wayne at the right time seeing as Southern Wayne is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for East Wake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Johnston at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Johnston's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so East Wake's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
