Baseball Game Preview: Station Camp Bison vs. Blackman Blaze

The Station Camp Bison will challenge the Blackman Blaze at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Station Camp didn't have quite enough to beat Macon County and fell 6-5.

Meanwhile, Blackman came tearing into Saturday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Rebels.

The team relied heavily on Andy Beveridge, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Austen Leban was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Station Camp has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Blackman, they pushed their record up to 17-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.
