Austin hadn't done well against Irvin recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Austin came out on top against Irvin by a score of 8-5. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Austin's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Anakin Torres, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Austin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Irvin only posted an OBP of .344.

Austin's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-14. As for Irvin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12-1.
