Flora dropped their record down to 7-9 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell 5-0 to the Edwards County Lions. The shutout was out of character for the Wolves seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

As for Edwards County, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games.

For Edwards County's part, not much got past Jex Schnepper, who gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Flora off the board. Schnepper has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Edwards County's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Hensley, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles. That's the most doubles Hensley has posted since back in April of 2024.

While Flora had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
