Yates won the last time they faced Madison and things went their way on Friday too. The Lions were the clear victors by a 34-8 margin over the Marlins. The Lions' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Among those leading the charge was Chris Brown, who rushed for 54 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six carries. Jordan Simmons got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Yates has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 15 points this season. As for Madison, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Yates wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 50-0 win against Scarborough on the 13th. As for Madison, they have also already played their next game, a 42-35 victory against Galena Park on the 13th.
