            Ider has gone 8-2 against Section recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Monday. The Hornets will face off against the Lions at 5:00  p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Ider has six straight  victories, Section has 15 straight  defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Ider's pitching crew heads into the  matchup  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Friday. They blew past Valley Head 11-0. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won eight games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Miklyn Troxtel made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent  for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.

 In other batting news, Ider let  Makinley Traylor and  McKenna Mitchell run wild. Traylor  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-2, while  Mitchell  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in two of her three plate appearances. Traylor is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's  played.  Lillie Weldon also deserves some recognition as  she  scored her first  run of the season.
 Ider  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .577. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valley Head only posted  an  OBP of  .222.
 Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Section's offense. They lost  15-0 to Geraldine on Thursday.
 Section's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Ider, their record now sits at 18-6.
 Everything went Ider's way against Section in their previous matchup  back in March, as Ider made off with  a  12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
