Heritage Academy came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 40-0 loss at the hands of the Tonopah Valley Phoenix. Considering the last time the Heroes couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Xavier Facio had a dynamite game For Tonopah Valley., rushing for 111 yards and three scores on only eight carries. Those 111 rushing yards gave Facio a new career-high.

Heritage Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Tonopah Valley, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5.

Heritage Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 31-19 loss against Glendale Prep Academy on the 17th. As for Tonopah Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 41-26 victory against Antelope on the 17th.
