Recap: Windermere Prep Lakers vs. Central Florida Christian Academy Eagles
The Windermere Prep Lakers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Central Florida Christian Academy, posting a 78-49 win on the road. The win was familiar territory for Windermere Prep who now have three in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Windermere Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brandon Bass Jr., who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Bass Jr. has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played. Sinan Huan was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Windermere Prep has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Central Florida Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windermere Prep will take on Seffner Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Seffner Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 228th, while Windermere Prep is ranked 24th). As for Central Florida Christian Academy, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th. Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Central Florida Christian Academy likes a good challenge.
