Volleyball Recap: Rangeview Comes Up Short

Rangeview lost against Vista PEAK Prep back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Raiders lost 3-0 to the Bison. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Rangeview had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19, 25-19.

Ayon Hammond paced Rangeview's offense, picking up seven kills. Hammond got some help from Zach Tapparo and his nine assists. Finally, Nic Tampubolon kept Rangeview's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Rangeview's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Vista PEAK Prep, they pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Rangeview will be taking part in a tournament against Thomas MacLaren School at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Vista PEAK Prep, they will take on Hinkley in a tournament on Saturday.
