The Rochester Rockets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 66-56 win over Galesburg. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Rochester had a senior duo take command as Henry Buecker dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten assists and Canon Bruce scored 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Buecker posted eight or more assists. Jack Melton was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.

The win makes it two in a row for Rochester and bumps their season record up to 6-9. As for Galesburg, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Rochester will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Newton at 6:30 p.m. Newton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Rochester in Illinois (Newton is ranked 135th, while Rochester is ranked 295th). Galesburg's road trip will continue as they head out to face Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. One thing working in Sterling's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games.
