Volleyball Recap: Westminster Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Westminster Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Albertville Aggies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

While Westminster Christian Academy was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-22.

Addie Mcwhorter paced Westminster Christian Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Mcwhorter got some help from Azlyn Leatherwood and her ten assists. Leatherwood was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Westminster Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Albertville, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-12.

Westminster Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Plainview on the 27th. As for Albertville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Sardis on the 27th.
