Volleyball Game Preview: Seaforth Hawks vs. Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders

The Seaforth Hawks are taking a road trip to take on the Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Seaforth will be strutting in after a win while Cardinal Gibbons will be coming in after a loss.

Seaforth took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They blew past Orange 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-10, 25-18.

Seaforth's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kleber Corzo, who had 17 assists and seven digs. Corzo is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 12 or more in each of the last six games he's played.

Seaforth was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Cardinal Gibbons lost 3-0 to Millbrook last Tuesday. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cardinal Gibbons now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Seaforth, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.
