Volleyball Recap: Lakeside Comes Up Short

Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-20.

When it comes to explaining why Lakeside lost, don't look at Addison Schmitt. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs and two aces. Schmitt is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Sylvan-Lucas, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Sylvan-Lucas beat Lakeside by a score of 2-1 later that day.
