Recap: Sargent Farmers vs. Center Vikings
Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 14 to 4 on the offensive boards, a fact the Sargent Farmers proved on Friday. They strolled past Center with points to spare, taking the game 42-23. The win made it back-to-back wins for Sargent.
Leading Sargent to victory were Hayden Lester and Lucas Garcia. Lester scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds, while Garcia scored 11 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Fernando Venzor, who scored 4 points.
Despite the defeat, Center saw an underclassman step up: Anjel Palma scored 6 points along with 3 steals.
Sargent's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Center, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Sargent will head out on the road to face off against Sangre de Cristo at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Center is on the road again on Saturday and play against Dolores at 4:20 p.m. on December 2nd.
