Page suffers fourth straight loss on the road

Recap: Page Pirates vs. Grimsley Whirlies

The Page Pirates were the 46-34 winner over the Grimsley Whirlies when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Page fell to Grimsley 36-32. Page just can't catch a break and has now endured four losses in a row.

Despite the loss, Page still got an impressive performance from Hattie Sloyan, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Hailee Cook, who scored eight points.

Grimsley was led to victory by Sanaya Blount and Autumn Clark. Blount scored ten points along with three steals, while Clark scored ten points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Clark hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Graves, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.

Page's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-9. As for Grimsley, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-7.

Page will be playing at home against College Prep & Leadership Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. College Prep & Leadership Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Grimsley, they will head out on the road to square off against Southwest Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
