Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Milton

Milton waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Baraboo Thunderbirds. Considering the Red Hawks have won five matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Landon Schwarz made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Schwarz was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Jake Cummins was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Charlie Fitzke, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Milton's record is now 9-3. As for Baraboo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Milton will have a chance to go back-to-back against Baraboo: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
