Football Recap: Chester Yellowjackets vs. Maroa-Forsyth Trojans
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Chester can now relate to. They fell 26-14 to the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans on Saturday. That makes it the first time this season the Yellowjackets have let down their home crowd.
Trayton Peters threw for 99 yards on seven of 16 attempts. Tashawn Palacio was his top target, picking up 76 receiving yards. On the ground, Alex Blechle rushed for 26 yards.
It was another big night for Ryne Sheppard, who rushed for 107 yards and two scores, and also threw for 171 yards and one TD on only 16 passes for Maroa-Forsyth. Those 107 rushing yards gave Sheppard a new career-high.
