Worthington Kilbourne hasn't had much luck against Dublin Scioto recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Wolves will challenge the Irish at 5:15 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Thursday, Worthington Kilbourne made easy work of Westland and carried off a 13-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Becca Boue made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Karris Stuttard was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Lilly Ruof also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.
Worthington Kilbourne always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Dublin Scioto entered their tilt with Westerville South on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 16-0 shutout.
Like Worthington Kilbourne, Dublin Scioto also got a great game from a two-way player: Avery Reynolds. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Reynolds has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Dublin Scioto got a massive performance out of Maria Wasko, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Sophia Bird, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Worthington Kilbourne's record is now 8-5. As for Dublin Scioto, their record now sits at 11-2.
Monday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Worthington Kilbourne has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .526. However, it's not like Dublin Scioto struggles in that department as they've averaged .525. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Worthington Kilbourne might still be hurting after the 13-0 loss they got from Dublin Scioto in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
