Baseball Recap: Show Low Extends Winning Streak to Three

Show Low waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Holbrook Roadrunners. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since April 15, 2024.

Karter Alexander was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kash Perkins, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Landon Eriksen, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Show Low kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive matchups.

Show Low's record now sits at 16-8. As for Holbrook, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.
