Recap: Lyle/Pacelli Athletics vs. Houston Hurricanes
The Lyle/Pacelli Athletics were the 66-51 winner over the Houston Hurricanes when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Lyle/Pacelli was the victim of a rough 78-53 defeat at the hands of Houston on Friday. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
Morgan Rohweder continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Houston, going 9 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 36 points and 4 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rohweder has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Maddox Rodriguez, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds.
Lyle/Pacelli has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Houston, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.
Lyle/Pacelli will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lanesboro at 7:15 p.m. As for Houston, they will head out on the road to take on Southland at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Southland is on a nine-game streak of home wins, Houston a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
