Basketball Recap: Meadowdale Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Meadowdale challenged Thurgood Marshall on Friday. The Meadowdale Lions took a 69-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thurgood Marshall Cougars. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 63-52.

This is the second loss in a row for Meadowdale and nudges their season record down to 9-14. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points over those games. As for Thurgood Marshall, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-13.

Meadowdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Thurgood Marshall, they will face off against Archbishop Alter at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Thurgood Marshall has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
