Soccer Recap: Governor Mifflin Comes Up Short

Governor Mifflin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wilson Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Governor Mifflin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 361st, while Wilson are ranked 171st).

Governor Mifflin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Wilson, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-7.

Looking ahead, Governor Mifflin will challenge Twin Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Wilson, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Reading at 1:15 p.m.
