Basketball Recap: St. John Comes Up Short

St. John lost against Towner-Granville-Upham back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The St. John Woodchucks took a hard 57-42 fall against the Towner-Granville-Upham Titans.

When it comes to explaining why St. John lost, don't look at Ashton Parisien. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 13 en route to 20 points. Another player making a difference was Tayden Longie, who posted ten points.

St. John's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Towner-Granville-Upham, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

St. John will be playing in front of their home fans against Bishop Ryan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bishop Ryan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Towner-Granville-Upham, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Berthold at 5:30 p.m. on January 14, 2025.
