Basketball Game Preview: East Canton Hornets vs. Jackson-Milton Bluejays

The East Canton Hornets will venture away from home to take on the Jackson-Milton Bluejays at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Jackson-Milton took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on East Canton, who comes in off a win.

Last Saturday, East Canton didn't have too much trouble with Claymont as they won 51-36.

Meanwhile, Jackson-Milton came up short against McDonald on Thursday and fell 44-36. The Bluejays haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

East Canton will need to focus on slowing down Emma Johns, one of several Jackson-Milton players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nora Schwarten, who earned seven points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Jackson-Milton's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for East Canton, their win bumped their record up to 7-14.

East Canton beat Jackson-Milton 52-44 in their previous meeting back in February of 2021. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Canton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
