Preview: Trinity Christian Gryphons vs. Fredericksburg Christian Eagles
The Trinity Christian Gryphons will head out on the road to take on the Fredericksburg Christian Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Trinity Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 65-43 margin over Chelsea Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Trinity Christian.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Fredericksburg Christian beat Southern Maryland Christian Academy 55-51 last Friday.
Noah Caesar was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with seven rebounds. Caesar is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Johnson, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Trinity Christian now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Fredericksburg Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Trinity Christian ended up a good deal behind Fredericksburg Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, losing 60-41. Can Trinity Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
