Football Recap: Salida Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Salida lost against Woodland Park back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Spartans took a 27-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

Woodland Park's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brandon Lewis led the charge by throwing for 222 yards and a pair of TDs, while also punching in one touchdown on the ground. Alex Stotts was another key pass catcher, picking up 105 receiving yards and one score.

Salida's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Woodland Park, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Salida will square off against Florence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodland Park, they will head out on the road to face off against Colorado Springs Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
