Basketball Recap: Hillsdale Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If Hillsdale was riding high fresh off their 67-39 takedown of Mansfield Christian last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hillsdale Falcons fell to the Smithville Smithies 56-50. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 330th, while the Smithies are ranked 125th).

Hillsdale's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2. As for Smithville, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Norwayne the next time they take the court. Hillsdale will host Norwayne at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Smithville will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th.
