Old Fort and New Riegel are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Stockaders will venture away from home to challenge the Blue Jackets at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Thursday, Old Fort came up short against Gibsonburg and fell 4-1. The Stockaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Old Fort saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Adelsperger, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Andrew tackett also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, New Riegel fell victim to Calvert and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Senecas, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Jackets in their meetings with the Senecas: they've now lost three in a row.

New Riegel's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Old Fort, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Old Fort couldn't quite get it done against New Riegel in their previous matchup back in April as they fell 6-1. Can the Stockaders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
