Basketball Recap: Information Tech Takes a Loss

Information Tech lost against Townsend Harris back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Information Tech had to suffer through a 74-34 loss at the hands of the Townsend Harris Hawks. While losing is never fun, Information Tech can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 487th, while Townsend Harris is ranked 40th).

Information Tech dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Townsend Harris, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Information Tech will welcome Queens Tech at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Information Tech is facing Queens Tech at the right time seeing as Queens Tech is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Townsend Harris, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Townsend Harris Hawks take on the Academy of American Studies Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Townsend Harris' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches.
