Volleyball Recap: Daniel Boone Comes Up Short

Daniel Boone lost against Elizabethton back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Trailblazers fell just short of the Fighting Cyclones by a score of 3-2. While the Trailblazers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Fighting Cyclones 25-16 in the first set.

Daniel Boone took Elizabethton into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-21, 25-16, 22-25, 15-11.

Elizabethton was led to victory by Sydney Minton and Morgan Lewis. Minton had nine digs and three assists, while Lewis had ten digs.

Daniel Boone's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Elizabethton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Daniel Boone has already played their next contest (against David Crockett), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Elizabethton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Greeneville on the 26th.
