Basketball Recap: BASIS Flagstaff Falls Despite Big Games from Daniel Quiroz and Lincoln Bradford

BASIS Flagstaff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-38 heartbreaker at the hands of the Williams Vikings. If the Yetis were looking for revenge after losing 67-63 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the defeat, BASIS Flagstaff had strong showings from Lincoln Bradford, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards, and Daniel Quiroz, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds. Bradford is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted three or more in the last three games he's played.

Williams' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ryan Burns led the charge by putting up ten points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Brody Trimble, who earned ten points and seven rebounds.

BASIS Flagstaff's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Williams, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.

BASIS Flagstaff has already played their next matchup, a 45-42 defeat against Red Mesa on the 18th. As for Williams, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-48 win against Joseph City on the 16th.
